April 12, 1861 - 1862
As war is declared, the Ninth Ohio is mustered in and trained at Camp Dennison, serves with distinction in the campaign for West Virginia, and wins glory in Kentucky.
Year 2
1862 - 1863
The siege of Corinth, privation and tragedy in southern TN, all lead into the beginning of one of the most successful campaigns in Civil War history.
Year 3
1863 - June 7, 1864
The Tullahoma Campaign begins, leading to one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, and a test of the Niners' mettle. See them under siege at Chattanooga, the building of a cemetery to honor their comrades, and their trip home.
